How can we believe them bro. This same govt. when asked about whether benefits decreasing price of crude oil will be transferred to people, they increased taxes by 3 Rs to maintain same amount. Also this same govt increased taxes for mobiles and match boxes in last two days in this critical period.

Government is taking coronavirus Seriously i see in my area they are doing best to help people ..proper checking is going on and they trying best to create awarness among people..why everytime you blame government ? In countries like canada people still taking Corona as joke no holidays for workers n all and india is taking all precautionary steps so stop blaming govt ..everytime if anything bad happens is not government 's fault

Loan repayments, tax free is upto government not workers. Hence, called it poor planning to what it is. You are not getting effected I am so. Leave at it.

I watched PM's whole address not once but twice. Even I was the one to notify about this "public curfew" first on forum. Check post #394. Forget about that I watched the whole press conference from MEA at 4 pm. I know more about these stuff than you. So buzz off.

Might be impossible on a large scale. Maybe affordable it could have been.

Things government should have done. But didn't. Correct me if I am wrong.

1. Assure free testing for coronavirus.

2. Set up temporary medical facilities. So that normal patients don't get affected or becomes exposed to coronavirus.

3. Make face mask mandatory.

4. Make soaps, hand washes, hand sanitizer and face mask tax free. If Tanhaji and Chhapaak can be tax free. So can be a product that saves people from being expose to viruses.

5. Pause repayments of loans until April 1st.

6. Since the "public curfew" was left for people to decide. PM should've effectively announce the curfew or atleast by midnight until Monday for atleast for experimenting purposes. Waiting for 2 days didn't made sense as clearly asked not to stockpile stuff.

We don't have enough testing kits to test everyone. If we do, everyone will queue up at the testing centers, which will worsen the situation. We should understand that testing a symptomatic person is not going to make his/her condition better. Anyone showing symptoms must assume to be positive and isolate themselves. If and only the health condition worsens, then go to the hospital.

There is a shortage of masks for the health care workers. They need them most. People showing symptoms alone should by the masks. Others can use tissue paper and hand kerchiefs.

Modi should have ordered the banks to pause the emi for a month. This would make the people happy and will follow the social distancing. Imagine a poor family not having money to take care of the family. If he is positive, he might reach the breaking point and go out voluntarily and spread the virus.

Bro it will be good it is only on Sunday. But when it got extended to a week also it will have a very great impact on people than Corona. See people working in MNCs may get leaves and Salary. But a large sector of people working in small companies. They will not be able to pay their employees without productivity. And every middle class people will have at least 40% of salary locked in any of EMIs. So it will hit them economically more than demonetization period. Maybe we can improve social distancing by providing WFH to jobs that are applicable and reducing population roaming outside like now.

The most important problem is to contain the spread of the virus. The economical problems are secondary. Imagine if the curfew is not implemented and virus turns India into Italy, then the same poor familes that you are referring to, will be in even worse situation. India already has so many id*ots roaming around without understanding the seriousness of the situation. The first priority is to contain the virus. If we are successful, then the post economic crisis can be solved better.

Modi should have announced things like emi waiver, transfer of money to every account etc, to alleviate the situation of the poor familes
