I agree with the sentiment. It's not the first time either. What about that alleged 'journalist' who came and and tried to incite riots in hathras. He is currently booked under NSA. We cant be blind to the fact that interested parties are trying to make a bad situation worse.

Fresh reason for worry: 81% of Punjab samples positive for UK varian

Back in March, we already saw the surge in cases in Punjab was mainly due to the UK variant. "81% of the samples from Punjab show UK variant" This was quickly rising.

"The genome sequencing data from the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) show that of the samples which had the UK variant, 60% were found in Punjab & Delhi. And said "large gatherings in Punjab have significntly amplified transmission of the variant in Delhi, UP, Haryana"

Seems like this extended nautanki going on in delhi has been the main super spreader event.

“Punjab has a very unique trajectory in the rise of the B.1.1.7. There were at least four major clusters (super spreader events) marriages, farmer protests from February 1 to February 28 , that are responsible for large spikes.” Dr Sujjet Singh from NCDC

U.K. variant more prevalent in northern States

This is the reason why UP govt have warned people of strict action.

I agree situation is very critical but govt is not invoking NSA on hospital, govt is asking to contact proper channels for help rather than going on social media.

Current situation needs some control over irresponsible media.
Yes i read that and how Smriti Irani tried to contact someone who has tagged her for help and getting into endless loop which ultimately resulted in her reaching dead end.Sadly there have been several toolkits in the play, but flatly denying that there is no issue is delusional.I have heard many cases from genuine people where people kept on calling on govt. helplines and no one picked up in Lucknow.Imagine this in Lucknow and then think how it would be in a hinterland area.First step towards towards solving any problem is to acknowledge that there is a problem.

I wonder would we see someone file a case against the Sikhs running oxygen langar given the huge scarcity of Oxygen in capital?People can't leave any opportunity to do politics.

I know. Couldn't those be used to help during the pandemic?
Apart from the big 3 franchises, others dont even earn much money. Why would they use chartered flights if not for their purpose?

I have no idea about how logistics of IPL works.

The resources used to hold IPL can be used to help tackle the pandemic. Imagine all the flights used for carrying players from one city to another can be used to carry oxygens and other medical supplies. Hotels and stadiums could be converted into temporary hospitals. Also players and staff are socializing by playing sports. No one is wearing mask. Imagine if one of them gets the virus. He could spread to hundreds of staff and player. Meanwhile common people are asked to ever wear mask at home, are required mandatory quarantine for 7 days despite testing negative and so on.
We have ample space for turning stadiums, hotels etc into hospitals but you cannot expect the security guards to act as doctors isn't it?Problem is not of space it is of availability of doctor, paramedic staffs and medical resources. Moreover, players are in biosecured bubbles meaning that they do not socialize outside that bubble.Same concept was used by PL after restart last year.
