Government offices in Nagaland will open one day prior to end of 21 days lockdown.

Kohima: Amid the nationwide lockdown due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the government of Nagaland has directed the employees of the civil secretariat and directorates in Kohima and Dimapur, and all government offices in the districts to resume office with skeletal staff.

Through an office memorandum, chief secretary Temjen Toy on Saturday announced that the state’s civil secretariat and directorates in Kohima and Dimapur and all government offices in the districts will resume office with skeletal staff from April 13, which is just a day ahead of the completion of the 21-day nationwide lockdown.

A 25-year-old man, who ridiculed the use of masks for protection against Covid19 in a TikTok video, has tested positive for the disease.

In one of the videos, apparently shot after the Covid-19 outbreak in the country, the man was purportedly seen sitting on a bike and when someone asked him to wear a mask, he dismissed it saying, why to trust a piece of cloth, keep faith in God.

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala is set to become the first state in the country to commence convalescent plasma therapy, which uses antibodies from the blood of cured patients, to treat critically ill COVID-19 cases on a trial basis.

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has given its nod to the state government for the first of its kind project, initiated by the prestigious Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), a top official said.

11 months for Humans and 1 month for Animals, Birds or other livings..
