We don't need N95 mask. Medical personnels does. Normal mask is fine as this virus spreads via droplets which even tying handkerchief can get the job done. But surgical mask is recommended. Also I think spitting in public spaces should be illegal.

Regarding n95 masks i meant fr doctors & nurse. sad situation most of them are forced to sterilize masks and re-use them. I agree about normal masks & even handkerchief which would be able to save us from droplets and scary spitting problem we face. the reason i say scary is most people are so casual about spitting habit it might affect others adversely. they definitely need to steeply fine who spit on public places. saddest part is that even some of the educated people are coughing or sneezing without covering their mouth with handkerchief or elbow , they sometimes even remove mask while coughing without covering it with kerchief .

you are absolutely right about that bro , considering how casual most people are during lock down , after lockdown ends -to protect ourself .we do need to wear basic masks - so that we don't infect others unknowingly . at least it will protect us to some extent . most people are now end up using basic anti pollution masks as result of non availability of surgical masks.

I still repeat you don't need masks until you are tested positive.

India has received only about 1.5 million testing kits for a population of 1.2 billion. We can't and we need not test everyone who has fever and cough.

Follow the symptoms. It will actually need 8-10 days of follow ups to consider a Covid19 test. If you have any of the symptoms, isolate yourself in your house itself and follow your symptoms. An healthy person is most likely to produce antibodies for the virus in few days. So even if you get infected by corona your body will produce antibodies to protect you and kill the virus.

Only for those who are already having medical complications or a weak immune system the symptoms will aggravate and would need the Covid19 test.

Until then, keep yourself isolated in self quarantine. Don't be roaming around the house or outside the house when you already have symptoms. That way you won't infect anyone unknowingly. This is what they call as social distancing.

Please leave the masks for medical, health care and sanitary personnel. They need them more than us.

Alright. I am talking about what happens after lockdown period is over. I am talking about wearing mask when coming out. You can't expect everybody with fever to think they have COVID-19 and get tested. Covering mouth at public places is a precautionary measure. There are masks made out of cloth which is of no use to medical personnel. We can use those and handkerchief.
