Yes, Cook will break Tendulkar's record. :(

Sorry Pinku bro... but ur calculation is wrong. :k
Here is Cook's test match record:

Mat Inns NO Runs HS Ave
Tests 92 163 10 7524 294 49.17

A test match has 2 innings. The average is calculated from both the innings, bcoz the batsman gets out 2 times in a test match. Also, considering the fact, that when a batsman remains "not-out", all those runs are added to the tally, without adding that innings.

Consider this:
Total runs = 7524

Now, Total runs/no. of test match = 7524/92 = 81 ( but 81 is not his avg.)
Its 7524/163 = 46 ( which is close to his avg. of 49)

So, he does not need 160 more test to complete 8000 more runs. He needs about the same no. of innings, ie:160 odd inings, ie: about 90 more tests. :k

England plays a lot more test matches thaan other countries.

Also, Cook started his career in March 2006. So in 7 years he has scored 7500 runs.
If he continues like this, he'll only need about 7-8 more years to reach Tendulkar's runs.

His current age is 28.5, so he'll break the record by the age of 36.

Ab dekhna yeh hai, ki Tendu kitne saal aur khel paata hai. :ohya

he is right brother, but mistakenly write test instate of innings (160),if he want to break sachin record he should play good forms at least 5 to 7 years or 10 years play in his career.

I'm Damn Sure He Can't Break

Vadi bro, u r being hopeful. No matter how much we want Tendulkar to stay on top... but we cant ignore the facts.

And the fact is, if Cook continues like this.. he'll break the record. :(

Bro,you are right.I have wrongly written it.:k:k

But he will be forced to retire like strauss if goes out of form.
He will never get support like sachin.

he is static in career graph :tup
