West Indies cricketer Chris Gayle has become father to a baby girl. His girl friend Natasha Berridge delivered the baby on Thursday. An excited Gayle took to Twitter to share the happy news. The couple have name the new-born ‘Blush’.
He also posted a photo of him with Berridge on Instagram and captioned it, “We would like to welcome the arrival of our beautiful daughter ‘Blush’ to this world 2 hours ago, Thank God. #GoodHealth&Strength – The greatest gift and feelings anyone would want. Great experience witnesses every bit of it. Have to give my blessings to Tasha, strong woman .”
He also posted a photograph of himself wearing a mask with caption, “”#CurrentSituation – Got milk?” He appears to be in the hospital where the baby was delivered.
Gayle had been playing for his Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) few days ago. Earlier there were reports of Gayle going to miss two matches. He had tweeted a picture himself on an aircraft with the caption, “I’m on my way, Baby”. He missed two matches- Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium and also the next game against Rising Pune Supergiants in Pune on Friday. He had taken a flight back home to be with his family at the time of the delivery. Gayle is expected to rejoin RCB on April 25.
