No news is worse for a smartphone user than the news that his or her smartphone may under a bug attack. More than 10 million Android devices have been infected by malware called HummingBadm and most of them in India and China.

CNET reported on the basis of the cybersecurity software maker Check Point's analysis, who has been tracking the malware since it was discovered in February.

As per the report, HummingBAFM gives cybercriminals administrative-level access to smartphones.

The bulk of the victims are in China and India, with 1.6 million and 1.35 million cases respectively. The Philippines, Indonesia and Turkey are toward the top of the list, too. The US has 288,800 infected devices. The UK and Australia each have fewer than 100,000 devices affected, added the CNET report.
