Check Point—the security vendor organised the Check Point Experience 2011 recently that revolved around the theme of 3D security involving policy, people, and enforcement.

It was attended by over 520 system integrators, service providers, and Check Point customers from Asia Pacific region. The two day event had a mix of technology presentations and general and expert sessions running simultaneously.

From 3D security concepts and solutions, to in-depth best practices and meet the expert sessions, attendees got an opportunity to build their own agenda by selecting specific sessions to meet their needs. The event also provided an opportunity to meet Check Point development partners, security experts, and to preview innovative solutions and experience product demonstrations.

Commenting on new security challenges, Gil Shwed, Chairman and CEO, Check Point Software Technologies said, “Security begins with a corporate policy that is understood by everyone, mapped to user needs, and integrated into organization’s security solution. People are a critical part of the security process, as a result, must be educated on the security policies in place and empowered to prevent and mitigate risks in real-time. Finally, the increasing complexity of today’s network and security infrastructure necessitates that the security enforcement includes a high degree of visibility and control.”

Lauding the efforts of the partners, Amnon Bar-Lev, President, Check Point Software Technologies motivated the partners to gain technical knowledge. “There are immense opportunities in the market; the need is to explore the same. The market is for us to win, just be pro-active in your approach and talk to CIOs and IT managers to identify their pain areas and provide an end-to-end solution.”
