“The talks are underway between the two companies for the past few weeks and have reached an advanced stage. Byju’s is offering a $700-800 million deal to Vedantu,” said one of the sources requesting anonymity.

How can they acquire so many of their competitors? Doesn't they have go through any regulatory board?

Update:

In a conversation with TechCrunch, Vedantu co-founder and chief executive Vamsi Krishna said any speculation around the firm engaging with Byju’s for an acquisition or merger is “absolutely 100% inaccurate.”

Byju’s, which has acquired over half a dozen startups this year, declined to comment.

What it the Competition commission of India doing?
Byju's is creating a monopoly in the e-education sector

Thanks to NEET Examination.... They will buy everything and education will be monopolized soon...

Poor students can't even able to dream of pursuing MBBS

Augmented by pathetic work culture.Byju's is becoming worse every passing day.
include Unacademy they are also trying to take over other competitors and forcing the teacher , some or more teachers are slowly leaving to launch or be independent as they are not given much freedom or forced to only promote the app & add subscription more than teaching :(
