Why even do this when others provide volte by default.. no wonder why bsnl is ridiculous and in losses
The overall service of BSNL is still like pain in the arse. The attitude of the employees is as before the restructuring process.

VoLTE should be activated by default

Good Job by BSNL.
Now want to see our so called 'Patriotic' cabinet Ministers or Central Govt allot 5G spectrum to 'BSNL' first or Private Player Like Ambani First .

Why should Government give preference to a sick organization when the competition is open and the forces of demand & supply are in play?

I would better see BSNL change its overall lazy and bureaucratic attitude, re-train themselves as per today's requirements and give proper 4G all over India.

Also, the 5G auction process will be transparent.

May the better service provider wins the race.

On a side note, it will take another 3 years for proper growth of 5G infrastructure and equipment development / sale.

Btw, Ambani's are only responsible for cheap data in India.

Otherwise, you all had to pay around 250 rupees for 1 GB data. AVOID were too lazy to catch on to 4G revolution in India.

BSNL has always been provided spectrum before private operators. Even when private operators bid for 3G spectrum in 2010, BSNL and MTNL had been provided pan India spectrum in the same band in 2008. Though the current financial condition of BSNL is such that if the government gives it 5G spectrum and it will have to match the price for it as discovered in the upcoming auction, BSNL will not be able to pay for the same. So the government is already favouring it by providing it 4G spectrum next month at the 2016 auction rates, even before the 2020 auction starts so that they end up paying 4 year back price today while the private operators pay by today's rate.
