Boucher joins KKR as wicket-keeping consultant
Former South Africa wicket-keeper Mark Boucher has joined Indian Premier League franchise Kolkata Knight Riders as their wicket-keeping consultant for the ongoing tournament, according to reports. He will now work with fellow South African and the team's head coach, Jacques Kallis.
The 39-year-old was forced to retire in 2012 after suffering a blow to his eye in a warm-up game during the tour of England. He finished his career with 998 dismissals in total and is considered as one of the best wicket-keepers of all time. He previously enjoyed stints as a player in the IPL with the Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
The Knight Riders have used Robin Uthappa as their first choice wicket-keeper this season and have Sheldon Jackson as a back-up in their squad.
