Blinkit, owned by Zomato, is introducing a new 10-minute food delivery service called Bistro, expanding its focus beyond groceries. This move marks Blinkit’s entry into the instant food delivery market, even though Zomato had previously tried and discontinued a similar service called Instant.

We are moving towards a country ridden with deadly diseases associated with lifestyle and pollution slowly but surely.high pollution level, excessive working hours which leads to people concentrating rarely on their personal life and fitness, excessive travelling due to poor infrastructure which is making people to go from cooking food at home to ordering from restaurants who maintain deplorable levels of hygiene which is further accentuated by these 10 mins food delivery promises. Our generation is lucky to escape with half of our lifecycle when situation was still manageable but i fear for the kids who are subjected to dangerous level of pollution, lust for fast food ,exposure to mobiles etc

We already have so many delivery based apps. This is eventually leading to more bikes on the roads, which in turn caused more faster riding, traffic jams, which is a cause for concern

This leads to jobs as well. Slowly likes of Dominos are switching to EVs.

I am not speaking about jobs or pollution, but I am speaking about the rash manner of riding.

Riding fast in order to complete the delivery, traffic rules, etc. these are matters of concern.
Absolutely correct, most of these guys have scant regard for traffic rules and are actually hazard for themselves and others in way which they drive. But from what i know there is no penalty for them for late delivery and driving rash actually comes from habit of doing so.

So they have something on dark stores concept ie connected to restaurants/ outlets which are in the vicinity. There are 2 sides to coin and I agree it presents risks in driving to meet the deadlines , but it also provides employment so again there should be perks/benefits for them specifically on riders well being. From the customer perspective , the app is in their hand and they should be intelligent enough to have control with regards to their health.

Sadly the truth is govt. has failed completely on creating jobs for an ever increasing population. You are producing lakhs of graduates, engineers,MBA guys every year and yet the only jobs on offer are these type of sundry jobs.Bitten by accusations of crony capitalism, govt. is doing little to help the industries, red tape is as prominent as it was 10 years back.FM has donned the role of tax terrorist and discouraging every industry from putting any money in India.

OFF TOPIC This is sad truth. The problem is too deep. I was reading somewhere 2% of education linked jobs in India are there are present. The services sector is suffering due to wars etc and less spend by organizations'. The white collar jobs are few and far in between and not available as per our population explosion. The blue collar jobs and most others are only engaged in agriculture with no disposal income in their hand. and the low per capita income to majority of the population. The cycle is vicious and we cannot completely blame the government, The capex spent by government is also now controlled and with 87% public debt of the gross domestic product, the private sectors is only in wait and watch. The internship scheme and some action was induced after losses in UP but would take time to actually see the result. Coming to topic and thats why at least a basic income is available due to such incentives by these companies like swiggy, zomato , blistro etc,
