Big FM is radio partner for ICC Twenty20 World Cup

MUMBAI: 92.7 Big FM is the official FM radio partner in India for the ICC World Twenty20 Bangladesh 2014 cricket tournament. The association marks the beginning of a series of exclusive offerings that kick-started with the unveiling of the trophy in Bengaluru. Last week, the trophy was unveiled by Sandalwood actress Ragini Dwivedi and cricket commentator Chandramouli Kanavi at the FM network’s studio in Bengaluru.

The network will also conduct a special pre-tournament contest across 45 stations to select five lucky winners who will get an opportunity to travel to Mumbai and be part of the unveiling here. The trophy will be displayed in Mumbai on 8 March. As the official FM radio partner in India for the prominent tournament, which will take place from 16 March–6 April in Mirpur, Chittagong and Sylhet, 92.7 Big FM will offer listeners an excellent line-up of entertainment around the cricket extravaganza. Special coverage and expert opinion during the course of the tournament will include a match review and preview segment exclusively for the listeners of 92.7 Big FM.

Through the 22 days of the game, a celebrity from the film fraternity will play ‘Match ka Star’ and talk about the match and love for the sport. In addition, the radio station will also present exclusive, regular and detailed updates on team composition, key players, match trivia and score updates. Besides, the network will also conduct a mega competition centred on the India-Pakistan match. Listeners will be able to participate in the contest on morning shows where RJs will test participants’ knowledge about the matches between the two teams.

Lucky winners could win an opportunity to watch the India-Pakistan match in Bangladesh.

Given that cricket is loved across the country and is a religion in India, 92.7 BIG FM will air the contest across 45 stations. Along with promotions on-air and on the digital medium, 92.7 BIG FM will also conduct special gully cricket tournaments across the country.
