Telecom major Bharti Airtel is looking at launching its broadband wireless access (BWA) services in the next few months, a senior executive said.

Bharti Airtel, which has already spread its wings outside India, has no immediate plans for an initial public offering of its telecom tower units.

Bharti Enterprises Group deputy CEO Akhil Gupta said on the sidelines of an event here that "there are no immediate plans of bringing out an IPO -- either for Bharti Infratel or Indus Towers".

Bharti Infratel, with over 30,000 towers, is the mobile tower business of the telecom firm. Gupta is also the Managing Director of Bharti Infratel.
Indus Towers is one of the largest mobile tower companies in India, in which Vodafone Essar and the Bharti Group own 42 per cent each in the joint venture, while Idea Cellular holds 16 per cent.
