Hello OT fam, I want to get a credit card but I am a bit confused by the reviews and suggestions by AI and Finfluencers on Instagram and YouTube.

If anyone is using or has any Idea about rewards, discounts and redemption benefits then please help me and anyone else in need of such information out.

If you’re looking for a zero forex markup credit card, the only widely available options in India at present are the Scapia and AU Ixigo credit cards. These are primarily travel-focused cards, and their rewards are largely centered around travel benefits. For non-travel spending, rewards are limited and you mostly need to rely on card-network offers (predominantly Visa).

If rewards are your primary priority, be prepared to pay a forex markup fee typically ranging from 1% to 3.5% on most other credit cards.

Scapia (LTF): Can be good if you are a frequent domestic traveller. On spends of INR 10000, you can potentially unlock unlimited lounge accesses and airport privileges + 0% forex is the sweet spot.

Since Atlas is no longer available, here are some other alternatives.

HSBC Travel One (4999+ GST): 2 Reward points per 100 spent. Offers 1:1, in accor terms which Atlas is valued, it's 4% returns in value. Offers variety of transfer partners which is good.

Regalia Gold (Can be LTF or 2499 +GST): Decent alrounder card with Smart buy access. 4 Reward points per 150 spent. In accor value it's around 2.65% returns. And with multipliers and milestones you can easily extract 4-5% returns as well.

Axis Horizon (2999+ GST): Watered down version of Atlas. 2 EM per 100 spent, which offers 1:1 on most transfer partners. Almost similar in what it offers to HSBC Travel One, probably one of the reason Axis decided to stop issuing Atlas.
