Taipei-based technology major BenQ on Tuesday launched a new eye care monitor in India which is equipped with Low Blue Light Plus and Brightness Intelligence technology that allow users to enjoy high quality audio-visual content without hurting their eyes.

The Brightness Intelligence Technology detects the amount of ambient light in the viewing environment and automatically adjusts the brightness for the most comfortable viewing experience possible.

“BenQ’s EW2775ZH Eye Care monitor offers pioneering Low Blue Light plus technology and Brightness Intelligence Technology, tailor made to protect our eyes and enhance our visual entertainment experience simultaneously,” said Rajeev Singh, Managing Director, BenQ, India, in a statement.

The 27-inch Rs 17,500 EW2775ZH monitor has AMVA+ (Advanced Multi-Domain Vertical Alignment ‘Plus’) panel, full-HD resolution and 60Hz refresh rate.

The monitor features true 8-bit colour (no dithering) and light matte screen surface with Ultra high 3000:1 native contrast ratio and offers Smart Focus and Cinema Mode.

Other specifications include 6-axis colour adjustment with the AMA (Advanced Motion Acceleration) pixel overdrive feature and connectivity ports include two HDMI 1.4 ports, VGA and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The monitor also houses two speakers (2-Watt each).

BenQ recently launched two eye care monitors – EW2440ZH, EW2750ZL – in 24-inch and 27-inch sizes respectively. The eye care monitors come with low blue light and Flicker Free technology at Rs 12,500 and Rs 17,500. The eye care monitors help reduce eye fatigue caused due to looking at the monitor for too long. Monitors emit blue light that can result in eyestrain and headaches after prolonged use.
