Mumbai, June 2 : Bajaj Auto, the country's No.2 motorcycle maker, registered its highest ever sales for the month of May at 358,849 units, up by 20 per cent from the 299,442 units sold in May 2010.
Motorcycle sales increased by 18 per cent to 317,989 units in May 2011 from 269,488 units in May last year.
While a 36 per cent surge was seen in commercial vehicles' sales at 40,860 units as against 29,954 units sold in the same period a year ago, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) today.
