Religious tourism is a major factor taken into consideration for the building of the Ram temple, it is meant to attract devotees from overseas countries and become a source of foreign exchange revenue generation for the Indian government same as Saudi Arabia generates from Haj tourism from pilgrims visiting Mecca.
A place of religious significance can still be a tourist attraction without its sanctity being compromised. The devotees can maintain the decorum while they are within the temple premises.
