Arsenal have announced Mexico striker Carlos Vela and Brazilian defender Pedro Botelho will spend the season on loan with Spanish Primera Division clubs.
The 22-year-old Vela, who spent the second half of last season on loan at West Brom, is to join Real Sociedad subject to a medical, while Botelho, 21, will move to newly-promoted Rayo Vallecano, the Gunners confirmed on their official website.
Both players have played on loan in Spain before, with Vela having spent time at Salamanca and Osasuna, while Botelho spent last term at Segunda Division side Cartagena and previously played for Salamanca and Celta Vigo.
