Even before the official announcement has made its way into the new year, rumours about Apple's still undercover iPhone 7 have started flowing in.
While the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus didn't quite hit the spot right when it comes to awe-striking innovation or radical changes except for the new 3D Touch and improved cameras, the latest speculations suggest that the next iPhone could come with a bumper storage and a large battery.
According to MacRumours, the iPhone 7 could feature a 256 GB of storage - the highest in Apple's lineup of iPhone till date and be powered by a 3,100mAh battery. It isn't clear if Apple would do away with the 16 GB base storage choice for its new iPhone 7.
The mammoth battery for any iPhone till date would be 12.7 per cent larger than the iPhone 6 Plus's 2,750mAh battery.
It is further speculated that the phone will be as thin as the new iPod touch but will retain the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch screen (iPhone 7 Plus) sizes.
Earlier speculations have pointed at the removal of the ubiquitous headphone jack from the next iPhone. It has been rumoured that the new iPhone 7 will not have the 3.5mm headphone jack and instead feature an all-in-one lightening connector allowing the smartphone to be thinner at 6.0mm and 6.5mm with a waterproof design.
The iPhone 7 devices may further include a faster TSMC-built A10 chip and Intel 7360 LTE modem with 3 GB of RAM. They could feature a non-metallic casing with hidden antenna bands.
Further rumours coming from the same site- MyDrivers, indicate that Apple is also working on an iPhone 6c which is likely to come with a 1,642mAh battery and 2 GB of RAM.
