The Android 7.0 Nougat Beta has started rolling out for select Sony Xperia X Performance owners. Users will be updated to Android 7.0 Nougat with firmware build number 39.2.A.0.248,
Sony had confirmed last month that Xperia XZ and Xperia X will get Android Nougat 7.0. The beta is only open for the single SIM variant (F8131) of the Xperia X Performance across select regions. The update brings new Android 7.0 features such as split-screen, new notification panel and more. Sony has added new features such as manual shutter speed and ISO controls at the full 23MP resolution. The update also includes the latest STAMINA mode. In addition, the October 1st security patches from Google are also included in the update.
The beta update is currently available only for the small number of users who have pre-registered. It looks like the complete rollout is not far away and Sony might annnounce the same soon.
