Amul, India's leading dairy supplier, on Monday said it will increase the price of milk by ₹2 across all its varieties. The new price will come into effect from March 1, 2022, the company said, and the same will be reflected on all varieties of milk across the country.

After the price hike, a 500ml packet of Amul Gold, which is its full-cream milk, will cost ₹30. Amul Taaza or the toned milk variety will be sold at ₹24 for half a litre and Amul Shakti for ₹27.

Currently, a packet of Amul Gold is retailed at ₹58 per litre depending on the variety. Similarly, the Amul Taaza or toned milk sells at ₹48 per litre.

What? Their Choclate are the best available in market. They exactly like foreign Dairy Milk and other Cadbury chocolate, very less in sugar. BTW my favourite is Amul Best Wishes Dark Chocolate.

Priorities in this country are stupid. You won't see a #BoycottAmul when Amul hikes milk prices despite customers currently being burdened with extra GST on dairy products. Ironically you will see #BoycottAmul when Amul Girl doesn't have cartoon feature about price hikes. Cancel culture is playing with our heads to distract us from actual topics. They don't belong to any sides. People of both sides needs to let go off their biases and be realist.

In a sudden development, the Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd (GCMMF), which markets its products under the brand name 'Amul', on Monday ousted its long-serving Managing Director RS Sodhi but did not give any reason.

However, Sodhi said he had requested the federation's board to relieve him of his duties.

Other sheeps will now follow Amul to hike prices.
