Hello guys..
been following this thread since long.. i have a smart tv .. i watch amazon prime, netflix on it.. but i dont have other apps like hotstar. I use Kodi on my laptop.. So i connect my laptop to my smart tv through hdmi cable. Is amazon firestick worth it? can i cast any screen to my tv? I just want to get rid of the cable. plz advise.

Yes you can cast any screen to Fire TV sticl with mirroring feature
And also as now you are using laptop for kodi and connect it, with firestick you dont need to do that because you can sideload kodi on your firestock itself..

Its fully worth it bcoz of firetv stick i dont have to subscribe to netflix i can watch GOT, narcos,baller, orange is new black, el chapo, ozark, big brother19 season of usa etc not even i have to subscribe dth which i can use jiotv even i can see with hd resolution uk usa italy holland germany channel but i mainly see uk n usa rest i dnt understand lang.
This one app give access to me not only to netflix show but also from amazon prime, hbo, hotstar and even hollywood and bollywood movie and even live tv from around the world this one app make firetv stick worth.
