Bengaluru based Association of Information Technology (AIT), one of the oldest channel associations in the country selected a new team to helm the affairs for the next year at the 14th AGM. The new team will have Nalin Patel, CEO, Ankita Electronics as the President, and Ketan Shah, CEO, Kruti Comp would be the Secretary.



The outgoing President Sridhar R, said, “We have been fairly dormant in the first decade of our existence. But ever since Jayesh Mehta (MD, Future Business Tech), who presided over AIT in 2009-10, we have been very active. I am sure the new team will be able to extend the good work we have done over the past two or three years.”

In the AGM, he outlined the number of activities the association has taken up for community building. He said that AIT has a corpus funds in excess of Rs 15 Lakh, and has plans of acquiring its own site to construct an office.

Other achievements included organizing a cricket tournament called AIT Cricket Cup, where around 32 teams took part earlier this year. AIT also conducted a health awareness day a few months back.

“Corporate social responsibility related activities would be a top priority for the new team. Many of our members have come with suggestions on how the AIT members could further contribute. We have plans to adopt a school,” said Patel.

He urged partners to support the new official web site www.ait-bengaluru.in, urged them to post excess inventories, and also advertise for their products and services.

He also requested partners to connect with more registered dealers and bring them to the fold of AIT. The AGM was sponsored by Digisol.

Other executives elected to AIT include, Satya Prasad, CEO, Vanpac Systems as Treasurer, Anatharam Varayur, MD, Webcom Solution and RM Srinivasan, Director, VNSA Technologies as the new Vice President and Joint-Secretary respectively.

A new executive committee of seven members RS Shanbhag, MD, Valuepoint Systems, Dinesh Dhanapathi, Director Symmertrix Systems, Chandraprakash Parekh, CEO, India ITShop.com, Murali Krishna, Director, NJ Data Print, Keshav Srinivasagowda, Director, Arakesh Computers, Suresh KS, Director, Digicomp Systems also was elected.
