At this time Airtel's TV web app is thoroughly underdeveloped. There are no Star channels (which is obvious), and no TV18 or Viacom channels (understandable since the Airtel TV mobile app has never had them until MTV Beats SD was added this month). But there are no Sun channels other than KTV (the app has them, even in HD), or even any HD feeds for the Hindi Sony channels. In fact not a single Hindi movie channel is in HD. The only half-decent thing is that 5 of the 8 Zee regional HD channels are there, which is impressive, but Zee Talkies HD and Zee Cinemalu SD/HD are not there.

Of course, there is an ad on top to download the Airtel TV app (it says 'Watch more with Airtel TV app', so that's what you expect), but this is all the more daylight robbery. I recommend against using it for now.

What advantage does it have to see HD channel on mobile? Mobile or laptop cannot match sharpness offered by TV and it is major plus point of HD Channels alongwith dolby audio which again cannot be made available on former.

Also most channels show same content on both feeds making it even more useless to give both on app or web tv. Only saving grace is 16:9 aspect ratio but many SD channels have made transition to this hence again making it irrelevant to have their HD Feed on App or Web TV. Infact i will shortly send feedback to airtel for removing one version of channels like Sony, Sony Pix, AXN, etc.

For adding channels on web, app or tv separate agreements r needed. All channels do not agree to be available across the 3 options, also thing like monetary deals and limited resources too add in final outcome

Sony BBC world HD says the audio language is English but when I play it, the audio is Hindi.
