Airtel launches ‘V-Fiber’ in Bhopal; to deliver speeds up to 100 Mbps
NEW DELHI: India’s leading telecom operator, Bharti Airtel on Wednesday launched ‘V-Fiber’ in Bhopal based on European broadband technology ‘Vectorization’ to provide speeds up to 100 Mbps over its existing broadband footprint in the city.
The telco claims to be the first operator in India to deploy Vectorization technology, which turbo charges the last mile copper with advanced noise elimination technology.
Customers only need to upgrade their modem to a ‘V-Fiber’ modem to access high speeds at no extra monthly cost. The company will also refund the activation charges if the customers are not happy with the service.
The V-Fiber plans are starting from Rs 999 with 3 month unlimited offer for new customers, as stated by the telco.
Airtel has also voice calling free for all broadband customers, allowing customers to make unlimited free voice calls to any network across the country at no extra cost.
“We are delighted to bring ‘V-Fiber’ to our customers in Bhopal, as part of our endeavour to deliver best-in-class broadband experience to users. With ‘V-Fiber’, we are all set to offer an altogether transformed experience on our future ready network to the digitally savvy homes. This solution offers a very quick and convenient upgrade to the customer,” said Dharmender Khajuria, CEO – Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh, Bharti Airtel.
“Our innovative myHome Rewards program and free voice calling facility will certainly add to the delight of Bhopal’s Digital Homes. We invite all our customers in the city to experience our superfast broadband speeds,” added Khajuria.
Airtel had previously launched V-Fiber at Mumbai, Pune and Ahmedabad.
Airtel V-Fiber deployment is a part of Airtel’s Project Leap. The telco is also augmenting its 550,000 Kms of domestic & international fiber/submarine cable capacity in order to drive down latency, and increasing caching of content at its data centres to improve data experience for customers.
