Airtel launches new IR plans with unlimited data

They can max achieve 499 2GB/day data with unlimited calls along with 300GB data. After that, customers will leave them(Jio and Vi as well) for BSNL. Already 349-399 is out of budget for most people. They not even using SA. Why to pay so much to them? Your 2.5GB remains intact in Jio as it's SA. 2GB as well as 300GB gets consumed in Airtel during 5G usage. I am waiting for 25% hikes in December and people cursing Airtel for good.
BSNL will also hike the tariff in favour of Private players

It will be still below 1500 for unlimited voice calls and some data. Good for secondary number as of now, where Jio is primary number for many and Airtel is secondary number(or vice versa). BSNL can't be primary number unless and until user is in Kerala and Punjab. These two states have unbeatable coverage. Either 3G or 4G. Atleast BSNL can be replaced as a secondary number from Jio/Airtel. 3599 is still affordable. 4299-4499 won't be in case of Airtel. In case of Jio, it will be.

Never gets consumed for me. Only deducted from 300GB quota. Benefits of having Samsung device 😎 can always confirm if 5G is not latching due to any issues. No false deductions of data or anything.
Airtel priority circle. It's not the case in Mumbai. Both data gets deducted. How you confirm it's not latching. Motorola devices don't have these facilities and all my family members are Motorola user. Will remain Motorola user till death lol. Say no to Samsung due to OneUI 7 fiasco, lol.

Not Airtel priority circle in any way it is Jio actually. Just good deployment done by Airtel in most circles. Samsung properly shows when it is connected to 5G or not in NSA. Mumbai itself is high priority for Airtel and Jio both.

When we talk about priority circles, it should be pre Jio era. Airtel hardly have presence here. It's due to Vodafone-Idea merger, Airtel got benefitted and got 25% market share. Gujarat/Maharashtra/Mumbai/Kerala is not priority circles for Airtel. In Mumbai, they are pretty weak due to band 1 5Mhz/band 8 5Mhz/band 40 30Mhz. If they have focussed on this(in your eyes) priority circles, they would have added band 1 5Mhz extra along with 10Mhz band 40 extra. But they haven't. Because it's not priority circles for Airtel. They have already achieved by hitting Vi postpaid users as well as some high value prepaid users from Jio as Jio remains choked here. They don't want more revenue than 25%. And that also they have achieved due to 5G. Airfiber has created problems in this network and it will soon face lot of troubles.

Airtel is pretty bad in most of the priority circles of Vi. That's the case. They have hit 25% revenue market share everywhere in these circles and have stopped expansion.

If you talk about pre-Jio era then Mumbai was Vodafone and Airtel's priority circle.
Airtel non priority circles were Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh, Kerala and West Bengal. Airtel is expanding network in all of these circles at the moment. But reaching full coverage with good deployment will take time.
If you think 25% revenue will be enough for any operator then that is a very short sighted approach. VI subscriber base is slowly eroding away to both Airtel and Jio in most circles so it will only increase revenue share for the duopoly.

I have spent from 2006-2014 in core Mumbai, it was my college time. I hardly see anyone using Airtel that time. Airtel hardly had 3G. Vodafone 3G was top notch. Even Tata Docomo 3G and Reliance(Anil Ambani one) 3G was far better than Airtel 3G. It was premium operator and will remain premium operator just like Verizon in US. It will continue to cater urban areas of North and Hyderbad, Bangalore. After that, it has zero presence. I rest my case.

But reaching full coverage with good deployment will take time.

This is coming from Airtel itself, not mine.
