Buddy charges applicable for secondary connection r same as applicable on airtel black DTH combo plans, just one has to pay Rs. 759 one time payment too buy the IPTV box. Jio TV+ too requires separate box for it to be used as 2nd connection and regular charges apply for buying box and channel/pack prices as there for first connection just that it being available via OTT mode hence regular channel tarrifs r not there.

@ bold part, I think @Ashok Varma was referring to Jiotv+ app for second TV, which Jio advertises as completely free. It is app based TV which doesn't require separate STB but only requires Android TV OS device.

Its a good valid point, More fiber+DTH users can shift to iptv, once migration allowed.

Normal Xstream box (with ODU) far better than IPTV box..
No internet usage for viewing live channels so IPTV box not feasible for Air fiber with 1 TB limit.
Normal Xstream box work with any network so no tension of keeping airtel fiber only.Also IPTV box useless without internet while one can keep normal Xstream box to watch tv channels and remove broadband

See you are right that Normal xtream is better then iptv but iptv has many benefits too like no more extra wire coming from odu unit to set top box, downtime of internet I think is less as it's working on 5g sim via Tower if you compare with rain in DTH, also changing of LNB due to faulty, calling service engineer for dish allignment if some issue occur, senior citizen easy to use if one is familiar with airtel dth, no more society issue and if you go for vacation for example to your farm house or village then you can take your box along with and give airtel mobile hotspot and you can watch any channel so no need to take new connection for few days stay.
