and that is not equivalent to subscription

No this year it will be live as same broadcaster has both the rights.
But as per reports hotstar will show live match for hotstar prime member and delayed feed for normal user

That's the catch, selected users = those with the data packs/postpaid plans that will give free airtel tv access.. and subscription here is not hotstar but airtel tv subscription.

That's strange.. cos it didnt work for me without being on airtel broadband/ without airtel sim
