Discussion Airtel Charging ₹1 for Port Out Request

Today I send a Port Out Request to Airtel guess what i been charged for ₹1 eventhough I'm in unlimited plan having free sms but still Airtel Charging for 1900

PS: Eventhough ur in unlimited plan but you must have main balance to send port out request in Airtel

Thank God before ran out of my main balance i send a Port out request else I have to top-up again to send a request

Within this weekend I going to get freedom from this ##ity Network

All operators charges ₹1 for port out message. Vi and Jio deducts SMS from daily 100 SMS quota on unlimited plans.

Vi had made it mandatory to do minimum unlimited recharge for porting out and now airtel charging ₹1. That's crazy. Feels though there are no higher regulations at all.

Seems you didn't get it .. I have enough free sms balance then why I charged ₹1 ??

No in Vi it's free 3 months back I port out my mom number in Nil main balance .. For jio no need to mention i think

It is well under the rules set by TRAI. All operators are allowed to charge up to Rs 6.46 for each port request. And that SMS quota is for regular numbers, charges could be applicable if sending messages on special numbers.

So I got ₹5 balance when I do port in to airtel, which can be used for port out in next month

Fun Fact: If you are on unlimited plan without balance then talking to customer care representative is free but if you are on unlimited plan and having some balance then the same call will cost Rs 0.50 per 3 minutes

But still there is no clarification regarding sms charge for 1900 .. it could be either for sms charge or documentation as guess this TRAI T&C's .. but still i believe it's documentation or new sim charges by destination operator else Airtel will charge 6.40p per sms coz it's Airtel

Anyway onething is clear ie) Airtel is charging for Port out whereas not by vi & jio

Can you check if 1912 state run electricity board service is still chargeable?

Image an active wire lying on the street. You want to warn them. You can't because you literally payed for an unlimited call plan.
