NEW DELHI: Aircel on Wednesday launched 'Five States, One Rate'. Starting June 11 that will allow its subscribers free roaming on Aircel network between five states that include Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
Aircel customers in southern India traveling between these states will incur no incoming call charges, while outgoing calls will be charged at 1 paise per second for both local and STD calls, the telco said in a statement.
The five states witness a huge amount of "business and leisure traveling and given the porous borders between these states, we did not want our customers to restrict themselves in any manner while using our services," Anupam Vasudev, Chief Marketing Officer, Aircel said.
Aircel operates 2G services and have 3G spectrum in 13 circles and has obtained BWA airwaves in 8 circles.
