Bangalore, Jun 1 : Karnataka Agriculture Department Joint Director L N Belavanki was arrested by Lokayukta while carrying a cash of Rs 7.05 lakh, suspected to be bribe money he had received, in a car near Munirabad Lake View Guest house in Koppal district here.
According to a release here today, Belavanaki, whose car was intercepted on getting a definite information about the money, did not give satisfactory information about the money and he was arrested.
He was produced before the District Sessions and Special Court, Koppal and was remanded to judicial custody till June 10.
