NEW DELHI: Online streaming of Indian Premier League matches got 72-million page views last year. This year, the number is expected to swell even further, thanks to growth in the number of high-speed internet users such as owners of 3G-enabled phones and tablets, prompting many advertisers to go online during the upcoming tournament.

Advertising for IPL in the online space is expected to do much better than last year as costs of television spots are very high this year and there is a better chance to measure the numbers and effectiveness on a continuous basis.
