Hyderabad, Jul 30 : Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials today unearthed disproportionate assests worth more than Rs 1.48 crore from Dupalli Mallikharjun Rao, District Registrar, Adilabad district.





The officials conducted simultaneous searches at different places covering his office at Adilabad, residence at Karimnagar and Hyderabad and unearthed immovable assets, including one G+1 house, 12 house plots in Karimnagar Town, three acres of agricultural land in Karimnagar District, a release from ACB here said.

The officials also unearthed movable assets, including cash of Rs 1.16 lakh, gold ornaments weighing about 880 gm worth about Rs 8.8 lakh, bank balances of Rs four lakh, one Indica car worth about Rs 4 lakh, two Hero Honda motorcycles worth about Rs 70,000, investment in chits and insurance Rs five lakh and house hold articles at his residence worth about Rs one lakh money lending Rs 28 lakh.

One more bank locker has to be opened and searched.

The total recorded value of movable and immovable assets was to the tune of Rs 1.48 crore.

The market value of these assets would be more than Rs three crore.

Mr Rao was arrested and produced before the second Additional Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases, Hyderabad, the release added.
