Isn't Airtel a well known fraud already ? I wonder What is new here in this case ?

They said, "Unlimited 5G" (as their competitor is giving, they are forced to give - not to give benefit to customers). First thing is, For them UnLimited = 300GB. Second thing is, even though your phone is showing 5G, your data will be deducted from 4G daily data limit. They will say it is NSA tech which uses both 4G & 5G combined. Blah Blah Blah. But consumer will never know which data is getting used.

This is just Airtel being Airtel. No surprises here, imho.
Customers will come to know soon when they will hit 300GB as Airtel data usage has reached to 70-80GB per month on 5G from 25GB on 4G in last two years.

Jio users can peacefully use data. I don't see unlimited data going anywhere for next two years. It's still usable but speeds are drastically down from launch and can go on like this for another two years. But I see tariffs for Jio going to 5199 by 2027 January. By that time, Airtel will have filled it's coverage gaps if it achieves 400 ARPU and maybe more backhaul to their towers and SA as well for mobile users.

they can upgrade their network sites as slowly as possible.
They are already facing heat now as Vi is increasing their coverage and BSNL doing wonders with 700Mhz LTE. From what I have came to know Tejas networks with 1Gig capacity radios are ready with support for N78/Band 41/1/8/28. Once BSNL gets customers and revenue, it will fast track deployment of LTE after June 2025. Airtel will surely face heat. Airtel will drastically improve coverage on 4G within three years(As I believe, 4G is here to last atleast three years). Jio will shift their band 40 to 5G in these three years if Jio gets access to band 3 20Mhz PAN India(To compensate for 5G on band 40). A lot of band 3 spectrum is expiring for Vi and Airtel in couple of years. Jio might add band 3 in next two years. Vi won't face any problems because band 41 40Mhz contiguous block is available now. Vi can buy 20Mhz in next auction even if they don't renew band 3 spectrum in next auction.

Exactly. "Transparency" is the thing that will always be totally missing in Airtel's policies.
Airtel has updated its terms and conditions already last year december as reported by TOI and as stated here in this image: Bullet point 6th from top. Its just that they didn't announce it and users got to find it themselves, tacts by corporate giants
