Aaron Phangiso, the left-arm spinner,
has been reported for suspect action
during a domestic one-day match in
South Africa while playing for Highveld
Lions, Cricket South Africa announced
on Thursday (February 25).
Phangiso was playing against the
Warriors at Wanderers and returned
two wickets for 38 runs from his eight
overs. His action will now be
scrutinised in accordance with the CSA
Regulations for the Review of Bowlers
Reported with Suspected Illegal
Bowling Actions and he'll have to
undergo testing in one of the
International Cricket Council (ICC)
approved centres.
The left-arm spinner will be allowed to
bowl until the results are out.
Phangiso has played 16 One-Day
Internationals (ODI) and nine
Twenty20 Internationals (T20I) for
South Africa and has picked up 16 and
13 wickets respectively.
He's also part of the South Africa T20
