Over the last few months, Aamir Khan has been doing meetings with YouTube heads in US and India, exploring the possibilities of using the platform for premiere of his feature films. “Aamir is against premiere of films on already established platforms and is exploring several ideas with YouTube to showcase his films – the talks include direct-to-digital premiere, post theatrical streaming, pay-per-view model and a lot more. He is however yet to arrive at a concrete decision on how he wishes to partner with YouTube,” the source added.

Aamir Khan Productions has partnered with YouTube to release Sitaare Zameen Par on a pay-per-view basis in a potentially significant move, said people familiar with the development.

The film is likely to move to YouTube early next month. While the industry typically follows an eight-week window for streaming on SVOD platforms, Khan recently said that all his films will follow a six-month theatrical run to protect box office revenues. The film was released on June 20 in theatres.

Film is expected to be priced at ₹99

Pay per View is a failure phenomenon in India due to piracy in 4K ;)
Radhe got a good response on zeeplex but it was only from Salman fans and that was a direct pay per view release here the movie is going for post theatrical release so its different scenario
