MUMBAI: For aspiring youths in the city who want to take up profession in the telecom industry, certificate and post graduate courses will be available with the government initiative.

The Mahangar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) of Mumbai and Welingkar Institute of Management Development & Research (WeSchool) have jointly announced their strategic alliance to launch two new management courses for Telecom sector.


The announcement was marked with signing of a Memorandum of Association (MoU) between WeSchool and MTNL-CETTM (Center for Excellence in Telecom Technology and Management), a Government of India enterprise. The industry-academia partnership will develop and deliver the programs in telecom management that aim towards developing skills required to meet the growing opportunities and challenges in telecom ecosystem

The two courses introduced are Post Graduate Program in Telecom Management (PGPTM) and Certificate Course in Telecom Marketing & Management (CTMM), the duration of which will be 11 months and 3 months respectively. They will be autonomous in nature, the technological inputs will be given at the CETTM training center and management lectures will be conducted at WeSchool campus. Placement assistance will be provided to the students upon the successful completion of the course.
