7th Gen is Kaby Lake only.8th Gen would be Coffee Lake.

I am still on 4th Gen! Btw, i doubt if one can feel the 15% faster, considering my system runs a lot faster than what usually a Core i5 Processor should run like. So i7 of 6th Gen is enough for high end usage. Only business tricks.

By the way, i have used Core i3 processor once in my old laptop. 2 years ago i sold it.

I am on i7 5930k @ 3.50 GHz, 5th Gen on desktop & i7 3632QM @ 2.20 GHz, 3rd gen on my laptop. Still am able to play COD Black Ops 3 & have played advanced warfare on my laptop. Don't know about Infinite Warfare..
