The Gabba where team India created history by defeating Australia in Border Gavaskar trophy in 2021 will be renovated for the 2032 Olympics

Construction would take four years, starting after the Gabba hosts an Ashes cricket test against England in late 2025, and be completed in 2030.

Sad. After reconstruction it'll primarily be used for AFL and cricket will be secondary with drop in pitch 😢

Gabba and Durban are the dangerous pitch to bat on I have seen.
Facing Brett lee at Gabba and Dale Styen at Darban was the most frightening moment for all cricketer at that time

A new 63,000-seat stadium will be built at Brisbane's Victoria Park for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The Gabba, once touted as a future Olympic stadium, is now set to be demolished after the Games to make way for urban renewal.

The cost of the stadium, which is set to host the athletics and opening and closing ceremonies, is yet to be announced, although the 100-day review said it would come in at an estimated $3.785 billion.

The Gabba was initially set to be demolished and rebuilt for A$2.7 billion under the Labor government for the 2032 Games before that was scrapped amid a backlash over rising costs. It was then set for a $600 million facelift under Labor before those plans were also abandoned under the new government.
