Good News Jio launches new prepaid plans with Netflix bundled

Jio has launched 2 new prepaid plans with 84 day validity and bundled subscription to Netflix.

The 1099 plan includes Netflix mobile plan while the 1499 plan includes Netflix Basic plan bundled.

₹336/month is not much. You are also getting ₹21 discount. But it makes zero sense as mobile data user will be unwilling to spent money on something like Netflix.

The monthly discount isn't 21 but 12, since you can't take the Netflix mobile plan cost as 149 since it's not a 30 day month but 28 days so it comes to around 139 for that and 366 per 28 days for the 1099 plan, so the plan cost per month comes to 366-139=227 as opposed to 719/3=239 so difference of just 12 rs per 28 day cycle.

After Airtel's lock-in period of it's DTH service. This is the most one sided poll I l've ever seen.

I am gonna add one pro about this plan. That is ability to buy Netflix without requirement of UPI or International Payment Supported cards. If you are a student or a person who doesn't want headache of some subscription with auto-renewal enabled. This plans are for you.

Even the higher variant plan 1499 when bought as a bundle with Netflix Basic plan works out only ₹18 cheaper than buying the mobile and Netflix plans individually. The basic plan cost for 28 days comes to ₹185 where as the bundle costs 500 per 28 days so the mobile plan works out to 500-185=315 which is just ₹18 cheaper than the ₹333 per 28 days cost for the ₹999 84 days 3GB/day plan.

Good calculation I have also analyze it and found that it's not a worthy plan 719+149x3m=90 days(Netflix) makes more sense.

In your case it would be better to compare it as 749(90 day plan)+ 447(149x3)= 1196 as opposed to 1177.5 (the 1099 84 day plan cost adjusted for 90 days) which comes to a difference of just ₹18.5 for the complete 90 day duration.
