Bangalore: The Indian business sector is growing at a fast pace and this can be proved by the fact that many companies have explored the Indian origin and many few of them have seriously changed the Indian culture and scenario.

A country where coffee and tea use to be a simple family time beverage, has been replaced by coffee cafes like Cafe Coffee Day and Barista.

1. Zee TV

ZEE TV is one of India’s busiest satellite TV channel. When the satellite industry was ruled by national broadcaster Doordarshan, Subhash Chandra’s hard effort gave the Industry a new vision. The ages old rules that gave Doordarshan a monopoly was taken over by Zee TV'-branded Indian content from Hong Kong in October 1992. The rules and regulations eventually changed and today over 600 channels in India are stoking aspirations even in corners that have no water or tarred roads.

Amul is an Indian dairy cooperative, based at Anand in the state of Gujarat, India. The word Amul is derived from the Sanskrit word Amulya, meaning invaluable.

Formed in 1946, it is a brand managed by a cooperative body, the Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), which today is jointly owned by 3 million milk producers in Gujarat and is also behing fetching India the tag of being the world’s largest producer of milk.

The foundation story of Amul dates back in 1948 when a mechanical engineer Verghese Kurien, set up a dairy. The simple diary transformed into million Dollar Company and took provided rural India with new opportunities and hope.

3. Cafe Coffee Day

Café Coffee Day is a division of India's largest coffee conglomerate, Amalgamated Bean Coffee Trading Company (ABCTCL).

The first CCD outlet was set up on July 11, 1996, at Brigade Road, Bangalore, Karnataka. Following this, CCD opened over 1000 cafés throughout the nation by 2011. As of May 2013, there are 1438 outlets across 28 states of India. A ‘meter’ on their official website (Cafecoffeeday.com) keeps continuous track of the number of CCD outlets.

The concept of CCD totally broke the traditional myths of coffee cafes in India and today Indians love to hang out for hours in this light and friendly ambience of the coffee shops.

4. ICICI

Back in the 90s not much concentration was put on retail lending and banking only meant corporate banking. Only little attention was laid upon investing in technology or creating a branch infrastructure. But this traditional cleshay was broken off by ICICI - short for Industrial Credit and Investment Corporation of India by activeness in marketing, smart pricing and new innovations.

ICICI Bank has contributed to set up different important institutions which include National Stock Exchange, Credit Rating Information Services of India Limited, Credit Information Bureau of India Limited and many more.

5. Airtel

Bharti Airtel is a leading global telecommunications company with operations in 20 countries across Asia and Africa. Headquartered in New Delhi, India, the company ranks amongst the top 4 mobile service providers globally in terms of subscribers.

At the end of the quarter ended June 2012, the Company had over 250 million mobile subscribers across its operations, representing 13 percent year on year growth. Airtel has not only reached the remotest places of the Indian subcontinent but has also been a huge force to connect the dots across the country.
