Cisco has flown 37 partners and distributors to an all-expense paid trip to the Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to participate in the Rio Carnival held during the last week of February 2012.
A further 150 partners received prizes ranging from Bose home theater systems, LG 32-inch 3D LED TVs, Sony HD camcorders, Canon DSLR cameras, and Samsung Galaxy S2 phones.
The channel incentive program, which was held from September 2011 to January 2012, recorded a registration of over 2,500 partners from over 160 cities spread across the Saarc countries.
Arun Dharmalingam, Vice President, Partner Led Velocity and Distribution Sales, Cisco India and Saarc said, “Race to Rio program exceeded our expectations and is one of the most successful program we have ever introduced. During the program period, we saw a 90 percent increase in coverage and over 50 percent increase in run-rate business. To ensure maximum awareness and participation, we conducted a number of road shows throughout the Saarc region, along with specific partner engagement activities.”
