Lg has what you want but it cost 52000 rs it has 2indoor unit of 1.5 tons with one outdoor which will save you space. But i think you can get it for less if you search local shop. Even daikin has with one outdoor unit you can connect 5indoor unit with it.

I assume centralized AC will be costlier than separate ACs for both rooms?

Get separate has less headache

Yes, go for separate units. I have Hitachi Atom +1, which has two indoor & one outer units.
