I don't think so... The viewership is much near to sandman numbers... In early weeks... And It is even made with less budget when compared to sandman still got the viewership....
Only netflix knows on what basis they renew or cancel shows...

It's good decision only. The show lags very much in every episodes, except last few episodes remaining episodes are completely make us bore . It failed to engage us with the story whole season. Dark was way better than this.

Dark got better with seasons. Also we can't compare dark and 1899 as both are completely different Stories. Dark also didn't gain popularity in one season. By end of S2, everyone got hooked.

And Netflix has lot more trashy content than 1899. Even 13 reasons why unnecessarily got dragged till 4 seasons. At least they should have got one more season and then concluded on this.
