Hindustan times newspaper said:NAGPUR: The meagre minimum support price for raw cotton and continuing government apathy led to three farmers committing suicide in the last 24 hours in Vidarbha. With these deaths, 10 farmers have committed suicide in the first 15 days of 2013, due to crippling debts, crop failure and not getting the remunerative price of their produce. The figure was 927 last year. According to reports, three cotton growers from Yavatmal district in western part of Vidarbha ended their lives on Monday, on the eve of Makar Sankrant, the festival of harvest.

Really a sad news .....
What should be done to help out Indian farmers. Being a civilized country, its the responsibility of all of us to think deeply into this situation & to come out with some feasible solution to prevent this to happen in future.
