In a rather surprising turn of events, we spotted a YU Yureka Note (YU-6000) retail box coyly lying on a mobile store shelf in Ahmedabad. As per our sources, YU wants to get a grip on the offline market and as a result it seems they have silently launched YU Yureka Note at retail stores. Unlike the last few times when YU created a buzz around their products by teasing one feature every day, this time around the phone seems to have directly hit the shelves, without much ado. On the hitherto the Yureka Note is the YU 6000 that was spotted earlier on the import listings.
The Yureka Note comes equipped with a 6-inch FHD display offering a pixel density of 367ppi and wrapped in a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protective layer. On the imaging front, the Yureka Note offers a 13-Megapixel primary sensor and 8-Megapixel wide angled sensor. The Yureka Note comes with 16GB of Internal memory and a microSD card slot . Under the hood lies a 64 bit octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz and paired with 3GB of RAM . The phone also comes with a fingerprint sensor on the front.
Yureka Note also carries a dual speaker and mic setup along with the usual array of sensors including 6-Axis Gyroscope, Light and Proximity. It is still unclear on whether the device runs the latest Cyanogen OS or it comes with a stock Android Lollipop. Thankfully, Yureka Note comes bundled with a
4000mAh battery pack along with fast charging support, something that will help the 6-inch FHD display to at least last for a day. The Yureka Note comes with the usual bevy of connectivity features including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro USB with OTG support and 4G LTE modem that supports transfer speeds up to 150Mbps.
The Yureka Note is priced at Rs 15,000 but the retail stores are selling it at Rs 13,000 and this is perhaps the first time that YU has prescribed for an offline only model, though it is very likely that we might see the Yureka Note being sold online as well. Since the phone is already up for sale at some retailers, we automatically assume that it has been launched. That being said, we would also be able to see the phone in flesh pretty soon and give it a spin.
