Back in February Google formally announced YouTube Kids, a special version of YouTube designed to isolate kid-friendly music, shows, and more. In addition to catering the library towards kids, the UI was also built to be simple and intuitive. Really there was only one thing the app was missing, and that was big screen support. Thankfully a new update is rectifying this issue.
The latest update brings full Chromecast support to the table, as well as improved parental controls with a new passcode setting that lets you access these controls directly in the app. Previously these settings were adjusted directly from Youtube itself, but the new change gives parents a bit more flexibility.
