YouTube app gets better at reading your mind
YouTube app for Android and iOS have been updated with a great new feature for everyone tired of the weird video suggestions its been trying to pass off in your feed.
The update adds the ability to decipher your watching patterns using deep neural network technology.
This is the same tech used by Google to provide search suggestions. In theory, more you use the app to watch videos, better it’ll get at suggesting what to watch next.
With the change in capabilities, even the layout of your home feed in the YouTube app will be noticeably different -- a single list of videos curated according to your viewing habits will take centre stage.
Earlier the other service touted most for its video sharing service was Netflix‘s suggestion algorithm.
