Younis Khan has hit out at the
Pakistan selectors after being
dropped for the forthcoming one-day
internationals against Australia.
The 36-year-old was recalled for the
recent ODI series defeat in Sri Lanka,
but only played one match before
flying home following the death of
his nephew.
Chief selector Moin Khan suggested
Pakistan's decision to bring back
Younis had "backfired" and the
veteran batsman was duly overlooked
in the latest squad announcement on
Wednesday.
Pakistan, who are still unable to play
international cricket at home, begin
their preparations for the World Cup
with a three-match ODI series against
Australia in the United Arab
Emirates, starting on October 7.
